Sharazan was my very first pony, bought and paid for with birthday money saved up over 5 years. When I bought him he was only 10 months, and a bit of a rascal! Over the years I have trained him myself, besides a six week training camp at Stald Kyo in Denmark, and we have had many great experiences together. When I sold him as a 6yo, I had started him at MB/1.10m with pretty good results.
Bwana
Bwana was my first competition pony, category 1. He came to us late summer 2007 from Stavern. He has participated in and won Norwegian Championship for teams and taught me a lot. He gave me a "jump start" on competitive life and together we have made many placements. My proudest moment of Bwana? Win the championship rug at Alvøen Cup! I eventually got started at LA level with Bwana. He is now 17 years and have had a wonderful retirement-existence with Dorthe Reimer who runs the “Trivselsstallen” (“Enjoyment Stables”) in Lysefjord.
Casanova
Casanova was my third pony and there it was love at first sight! We met during Sharazan’s training camp in Denmark and instantly fell for each other. It took a lot of persuasion and puppy eyes at home, but eventually he came to our house and met a wide-eyed mom when he came off the trailer, as he was quite tiny! Casanova had quite a “pep in his step” when he arrived, and it took time and hard work both turning this into training efforts and results. After a little over a year in my possession, I started him at the MB/1m level also, before he was sold to a rider with a more appropriate size.
My Way
My Way was my first biiiig horse. She was an amazing horse with an amazing personality that you could not help but fall for. Before she came to me she had competed at 1.40m in Belgium, but was out of action due to surgery. We started barely two events together before My Way expressed pain in her legs. We x-rayed and found calcification that has been there from before she came into our possession. Unfortunately, My Way was euthanized, as there was nothing we were able to do for her to alleviate her pain.
Costie
Costie ... Where do I begin? What a horse! He had his positive and negative sides just like everyone else, but he knew at least to make me smile! I found this charmer in Halden at Stall Buer. When I got him he was not in particularly good shape and it took time and hard work to get him good to go. In October 2012 we started our first 1.20m together, and in December we jumped 1.60m in the high jump at Stend VGS's Christmas show. Shortly after, Costie unfortunately became seriously ill with stomach ulcers and colic. Since then there has been a lot of up and down with illness and injury, which unfortunately ended up euthanizing him, being the best thing for him to let him escape the pain. Costie will, no matter what happens, always be close to my heart!
d'Buers High Pilot
D`Buers High Pilot came to me at age five in December 2013. He is a gelded Dutch Warmblood. He came from Merethe Buer, who had great faith in that Pilot and I would fit well together. Pilot has a fantastic personality, chuckles when I arrive at the stables and “hugs and kisses”. Now I've had him for almost a year, and after painstaking work we are now competing together at 1.25m.
